The Dark Matter

incarnated for a higher purpose.

slowly moving there.

cyclical days and nights.

weeks and weekends.

where is the light?

guide me with your staff.

your loyal lion.

play your sitar.

upon the mountain i breathe deeply.

with your invisible hand, push me along.

carry me through the wind.

levitate to freedom.

i chose now for a reason.

A reminder...

I stumbled upon this beautiful poem by Kabir (1440-1518) recently and have fallen in love.  He was a mystic poet and saint of India who revealed the divine through direct experience.

A Place To Sit
Don't go outside your house to see flowers.
My friend, don't bother with that excursion.
Inside your body there are flowers.
One flower has a thousand petals.
That will do for a place to sit.
Sitting there you will have a glimpse of beauty
inside the body and out of it,
before gardens and after gardens.

translated by Robert Bly

Reading this is a reminder to look within for beauty, for answers, for truth.  Self-reflection and listening to our intuition is something that has become less and less in this society.  We react to the stimulus around us before even stopping to see if it is coming from a place of love and truth.  Let us all try to be more mindful of ourselves and how we live in this world.~LA
